Online story: "LAS VEGAS – A birthday party in the Las Vegas area ended in tragedy Saturday when a 1-year-old boy died hours after he was attacked by his family's pet dog. * he crawled over to the dog and starting petting him. * The 120-pound Mastiff/Rhodesian mix latched its teeth around the boy's head and began shaking him, the Las Vegas Sun reported * The family said they had owned the dog since it was a puppy and it had never before displayed any signs of aggression. " -- There are breeds of dogs that just do not belong in families with children..... or neighborhoods with children. --- Online story: "KHARTOUM, Sudan — Sudan declared a state of emergency Sunday in areas bordering South Sudan, giving authorities wide powers of arrest a day after they detained three foreigners in a flashpoint town along the frontier. * The detentions and state of emergency heightened tensions even further along border between the old rivals, who in the past month came to the brink of an all-out war because of renewed fighting in disputed areas." -- Al Sharpton.. Jesse Jackson... NAACP... Where are you! --- Online story: "OAK GROVE, MN (CBS ATLANTA) - Former University of Georgia football player is arrested in connection to a serious assault in Minnesota. * Officers arrested King after he was accused of severely beating a man outside a birthday party given at the home of a mutual female friend. * The police report states the party was hosted by the parents of a 21-year-old friend. Both King and the victim were invited to the party according to investigators. * The victim told police that King struck him multiple times about the head and face with his fists and threw him, head first to the ground. The man is hospitalized with a skull fracture, facial fractures, and injuries which required more than 50 stitches. He may have a serious brain injury as well the police report stated. * King has not been formally charged. He remains in custody at the Anoka County jail. The decision to formally charge King and what to charge him with will be made by the Anoka County Attorney's Office early next week." -- "Not formally charged"? Al Sharpton.. Jesse Jackson.. NAACP.. Trayvon Martin's parents... Where are you!!! --- Online story: "Keith Olbermann fired back at Jimmy Kimmel, who took several shots at the former Current TV host in his White House Correspondents Dinner speech. * He added: "I'm not complaining about the Kimmel jokes -- I'm fair game. I'm complaining about the revenge element. It reminds me of O'Reilly." -- Typical liberal.. Character assassination was his main trick in front of the camera. He can dish it a lot better than he can take it. --- From the 'it's not one world' department - L-E story: "Angry parents are demanding to know why their kids are being taught about bombs and knives at nursery schools in a northern Indian state. * They complain that a book on Hindi language alphabets for children aged 4 to 5 says that "B" stands for bomb and "Ch" for "Chaku," or knife. Pictures accompany the words. * Ram Authar Dixit, president of the Parents-Student Welfare Association of Gurukul Academy in Uttar Pradesh state, said Sunday that the national education board was investigating how such a book was cleared for private nursery schools. * More than 100 schools in the state have been using the book." -- After the recent stupidity surge in the Muscogee County education system, do we have to worry about this book being adopted for use so the MCSD board can claim it is culturally diverse? --- The latest from barackobama.com: "By pitching in $3 or whatever you can before tomorrow's fundraising deadline, you won't just be automatically entering yourself for the chance to spend an evening with President Obama at George Clooney's house... " -- $3.00 for a meal with potUS Arpege & Clooney? Guess he's realizing how much his popularity has diminished within his base. --- Why should public employees get any City contribution to a pension plan? Small business owners not only have to pay the SS taxes on their paychecks, small business owners also have to pay the same amount as their business 'contribution', and it's not 4%. --- L-E opinion piece: "The SAT continues to show flaws as an accurate prognosticator of college success * The College Board's standardized exams, tainted with bias, claim to be able to determine a student's success in college merely after 4 hours of testing. * According to a study by Ford and Campos of Educational Testing Service (ETS), the SAT predicts a college freshman's GPA with only an 8-15 percent accuracy." -- Though written by a local private high school student who will have no problem with the SAT, this just shows how negatively biased conversations about the SAT have become in order to prepare students for failure of the school systems ability to prepare them for either a college or career track when they graduate. The SAT has never been a predictor of how well a student will do or adapt to college level work; it is (or is "was" a better tense since the various dumbing down efforts have been initiated) a guide to colleges as to whether the incoming students have the tools needed to do the level of work the college offers. --- Today's BC is a little truncated as the L-E, which doesn't really have too much to offer on Monday's as a rule, has not published/delivered it's full subscription-paid online version yet.

Online story: "At the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday night, President Barack Obama joked that Hillary Clinton "won't stop drunk-texting me from Cartagena." -- Maybe potUS Arpege wasn't just joking about her... In recent weeks, Hillary has given potUS Arpege plenty of indication she is not supporting him this year. Her reference to not running in 2016 if potUS Arpege wins in 2012 so she wouldn't interfere with Biden in 2016, and the saying she's too busy (texting and drinking?) to plan on attending the 2012 DIM&DUMBERat National Convention. --- Picture of Hillary "lifting one":
Since she'a a former 1st Lady (?) can you surmise that the women on either side of her are Secret Service or GSA staff on another roadtrip? --- With the Arizona immigration bill being bandied about in the US Supreme Court, why is potUS Arpege pushing the DOJ into a premature witch hunt of Sheriff Joe Arpaio? --- Ron White is not 'funny'; Bill Cosby is 'funny. Ron White is just a crude exploiter of sad subjects. --- From a Karl Douglass commentary: "If the school board is convinced that the next superintendent must have a demonstrated track record of improving student performance, let’s state that up front." -- This would be next to impossible! Name one Superintendent we've had that had been head of his/her last job more than 4 years. 3 or 4 years is not a long enough time frame to make a track record of the ability to raise grades. --- BTW, the L-E has not come clean in identifying Karl Douglass as a paid political consultant by Sanford Bishop. --- Lenard Pitts is still the pits. 20 years later he remembers the Los Angeles riots as fresh as they were at the time, and time has stood still. He writes: " As we count the lessons we have learned since L.A. burned, count that as one of the lessons we have not. Here is another: Justice too long delayed is justice denied. As protesters often put it: “No justice, no peace.” -- Was it "justice", Mr Pitts, for the black community to ignore (or feel justified) the truck driver who was pulled from his cab that day, and brutally bludgeoned by a concrete block to his head, or was it OK because the "bludgeonee" was white and the "bludgeoner" was black? And as far as Trayvon Martin is concerned, how do you come to a conclusion when there has been no trial, no orderly presentation of facts submitted to a jury? You, mr Pitts, are simply as racist as those you accuse. By the way, mr Pitts, since you have determined that for political purposes, George Zimmerman is white (versus Latino), do you also consider President Obama white versus black? Both or products of a black and white parentage. ---

Online headline/story: "Principal Loses Job Over Steamy Video * The Scholars Academy Principal Steve McClenning and assistant Billie Madewell have both lost their jobs after the two were caught passionately making out on video, * This isn't the first time hidden cellphone video has gotten an educator in trouble." -- What is it with prinicpals and videos? Is there a new a new TV reality show in the works...maybe "America's Stupidest Principals"? --- Well, tonight we'll find out if Dr Crumbs has learned a lesson or not. If he shows up at the Ron White show, it will prove beyond a doubt that "you can't fix stupid". --- The next time a video clip be shown to the MCSD board or teacher's group, it should limited to one from " Forrest Gump ". You know the scene; the one when he responds, "Stupid is what stupid does." --- There's a movement to create a BOBBY PETRINO Award. The first recpients should be Dr Crumbs and the MCSD board. --- The SEC should pull out of the BCS. Huh, you say? Yes, the SEC should just tell the BCS that we know who's #1; y'all fight it out for #2. --- Do you believe that the Mad Cow (not Pelosi, the other one) found in California is the only one? What are the odds that the cow never pooped and no birds ever picked seeds/grain out and dumped into a field where others graze? --- Fellow BCer Neal Cavuto (yeah, that one ChitwAAd) just summed up the US economy following the 1st quarter GDP/National Debt ratio: Cavuto said, "We are now Greece.". Our National Debt is now higher than our total production. In other words, we owe more than we're worth. Don't expect the DIM&DUMBERats to talk about it during the election season. --- Listening to potUS Arpege addressing the troops at Ft Stewart was pretty revealing. The lack of support volume whenever potUS Arpege spoke an "applause moment" spoke volumes about how the troops feel. They might as well have been jeering, but I'm sure they were under direct orders to 'take it' quietly. Just hope all our service men and women mail in their absentee ballots EARLY! --- Online story: "MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A Mexican woman is pregnant with nine babies - six girls and three boys - the country's main broadcaster Televisa reported on Thursday night." -- Ordinarily, I'd have some comment about the absurdity of this situation, but I'm so glad that something will squash the attention to "Octomom" that I'm really pleased and hope the pregnancy is successful. --- Online story: "A Virginia man is unhappy with the Department of Motor Vehicles' decision to revoke his "F.OSAMA" license plates due to being "profane, obscene or vulgar in nature," according to the DMV. Rick Sanders has had the plates for over 7 years and feels they make a patriotic statement." -- The Virginia DMV is picking on a patriotic citizen, yet our sitting president, potUS Arpege, has endorsed, even pushed the sales of a campaign T-shirt with the letters, "BFD" in reference to Biden's open mike gaffe of saying 'this is a Big F***ing Deal'. Does the Virginia DMV train its personnel under the EPA executive so they know how to crucify small people? --- Online story: "Vice President Joe Biden (addressing a New York University audience) spoke at length in defense of President Obama's foreign policy on Thursday, managing to draw snickers for a comment about the commander in chief's "big stick." -- Yeah, potUS Arpege has a 'big stick', and he's been busy beating up America's future with it. --- Fox News was interviewing a NASA person, Scott Horowitz, as it was showing the Shuttle Enterprise making its way to New York's JFK airport, and Horowitz mentioned how distressed Smithsonian personnel were since the Constellation (next stage of space vehicles) was stopped, and the US was no longer in control of its space exploration. Wonder if the EPA and White House spinmeisters will be crucifying Horowitz? --- Online headline: " Obamas Receive Homeless Vet Award" -- Is this one of those popularity awards like the Nobel Peace Prize he won without doing anything? If their is a 'homeless" award potUS Arpege does deserve it's to 'win' the "homeless in Washington" award in November. --- From the "who'da thunk it" department - Online story: "Michael Wiener, a GOP county commissioner in New Mexico, is being asked to resign after a picture of him posing with scantily clad women in a well-known red light district in the Philippines surfaced earlier this week." -- After Anthony, who'd thunk there could be another 'Weiner' in politics? You know, when you think about it, there are way to many wieners in politics, lust look at our MCSD board. --- L-E headline/story: "Man carjacked outside convenience store * A (21 year old) man lost more than $10,000 worth of electronics in a Tuesday night carjacking outside a Columbus convenience store, reports state * The suspect told the driver to get out of the car, which he did. The suspect then got inside the 2003 Dodge Neon and drove away, reports state. * Police say $10,210 worth of electronics was inside the car. * The carjacking is under investigation." -- I imagine the police REPORTED (versus 'say") the car owner said there was $10,210.00 worth of electronics in his car. Maybe that should be investigated as well. --- From L-E story: "“Crime is down in Bibb City because we came together as a community,” he (Chris Johnson) said." -- Yeah, that and the end of Tony Adam's presence. --- L-E headline: "We need to call this community back to God. That's the answer to change anything." - Richard Jesse local NAACP second VP. -- How about repeating this message to the MCSD and certain personnel.... this is the only answer to 'fixing stupid'. --- Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "To those who think Democrats don’t like guns, Obama is a staunch believer in the Second Amendment. " -- ? well, when you think really deep about it, potUS Arpege does have one aspect he loves about guns... he loves to ship them out of America to Mexican drug gangs. --- Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "That was the problem. The Florida DA had seen the pictures of the supposed injuries to Zimmerman, talked to the police, and discovered there were no injuries. " -- Didn't know we had a local person directly involved in the investigation... but on the other hand, this does confirm Ron White's thesis that "you can't fix stupid". --- After reading the L-E "Letters" today, no wonder the school system has such a hard time dealing with standards to convey to students; too many students' parents have way to low standards. --- L-E headline: "High schoolers get reality check through Teen Maze" -- Ooops, my bad! Thought this was some new government program to pay students to get a free education. --- While our attention was diverted to thinking about the stupidity running amok in our school system, the MCSD board just confirmed their own by trying to sneak a tax increase by us while we were being distracted. Fortunately, we've come to expect such stupidity so the ruse didn't work for the board. I guess the MCSD board needs the extra funds to pay off any law suits CHS teachers will file for Crumbs being reinstated. --- L-E story: "Ford reported net income of $1.4 billion, 45 percent less than the $2.55 billion it earned in the same period of 2011. Revenue declined 2 percent, to $32.4 billion. * Officials attributed about half of the decline to the company’s tax rate quadrupling from a year ago." -- "tax rate quadrupling"? Why does the one automaker which didn't take bail-out money get taxed more to pay-off the bailout interest GM & Chrysler gave us?

Online story: "Thanks to one man's dedication and love, the beauty and wonder of an island in the Seychelles will be around for years to come, * According to the Daily Mail, Brendon Grimshaw bought Moyenne Island, off the north coast of Mahe, Seychelles, in 1964 * in 1973, the journalist from Dewsbury, England, moved to his new island with nothing but a dream. * When he first arrived at Moyenne, the island was overgrown with shrubbery so dense that coconuts could not fall to the ground. * Grimshaw tirelessly worked to transform the island. * Over the last 39 years, Grimshaw, now 86, planted 16,000 trees by hand and built 4.8 kilometers of nature paths * the nature lover has also attracted about 2,000 new birds to the island * He is also the loving caretaker of 120 giant tortoises. * Grimshaw's island now also holds more than two thirds of all endemic plants to the Seychelles." -- What conservative dedication to nature. Sure glad this island wasn't off the coast of California or the liberals would have stopped him fro clearing out the underbrush of old growth trees! --- Online headline: "Sandra Fluke Engaged To Adam Mutterperl " -- Good, now Fluke can have him buy the birth control products', and she can stop buying them and seeing multiple partners. --- Have you seen the video of the EPA executive recanting his earlier unveiled threat to make examples and crucify oil companies that drag their feet in complying to the Marxian demands ? If there is any example setting to be made, it would be to make examples of the EPA, the Secret Service, the GSA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac --- The American Dermatologist Association is running ads that proclaim "indoor tanning is out". Wonder if the EPA will "crucify" the ADA for reducing the revenue of the 10% racist indoor tanning tax? --- As superficial as they are, even the NBA, NFL, and MLB has disciplinary rules for player/coach stupidity. Why has the MCSD abandoned such? --- In it's wussy effort to avoid confrontation and a lawsuit from Dr Crumbs, the MCSD board has probably opened the flood gates to every CHS teacher, male & female, who was made to watch the sexual harassment video Dr Crumbs played for them. --- Dr Crumbs and the MCSD Board (Beth Harris the exception) have updated an old concept: two stupids do not make a correction. --- Online headline/story: "Obama Explains Increasing Medical Marijuana Crackdowns, Raids In 'Rolling Stone' Interview * Amid an increased crackdown on medical marijuana producers across the nation, including a recent high-profile raid on a California training school, President Barack Obama faced questions in a new interview with Rolling Stone about the seeming disconnect between his 2008 campaign rhetoric and his administration's actions since he took office. * "I'm not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws [on medical marijuana]," Obama promised in 2008, according to an earlier Rolling Stone report." -- OMG! How long will it take for the DIM&DUMBERats to wake up to a potUS 'promise her anything, but give her Arpege' promise being kept after they have voted for him? --- The latest from barackobama.com: "Big news: In 10 days, President Obama is hitting the campaign trail." -- 'hitting the campaign trail'? Is this some sorta joke? When has potUS Arpege not been on the campaign trail? --- Is there any wonder why students are graduating without marketable skills? Just saw an ad for a college where the professor proudly proclaims that never in his life has he known so many students by their first names. Students in college don't need to be on a first name basis with their professors; students and professors need a professional and respectful relationship. --- With the recent soap-opera revealing of the life and times of the Eddings, why are those two still sitting on community boards? --- From the L-E's "Today in History": "In 1982, the trial of John W. Hinckley Jr., who had shot four people, including President Ronald Reagan, began in Washington. (The trial ended with Hinckley’s acquittal by reason of insanity.) " -- In retrospect, I didn't agree with the 'acquittal by insanity' verdict at the time. In perspective, if Reagan had been a DIM&DUMBERat, no one would have accused an assassination attempt as insane. --- L-E story: "WASHINGTON — More than 3 million health insurance policyholders and thousands of employers will share $1.3 billion in rebates this year, thanks to President Barack Obama’s health care law, a nonpartisan research group said Thursday. * The rebates should average $127 for the people who get them, and Democrats are hoping they’ll send an election-year message that Obama’s much-criticized health care overhaul is starting to pay dividends for consumers. Critics of the law call that wishful thinking." -- potUS Arpege must be thinking he can buy 10,000,000 votes at $127.00 each. Even the White House spinmeisters cannot cover up that those who receive these "rebates" that it amounts to only 1 or 2% of the premiums they've paid which have doubled since HELL-thScare was passed by the DIM&DUMBERats Congress. Not a very good ratio.. --- Excuse me, but why is potUS Arpege making negative comments about proposed Republican legislation when we know he hasn't read the bill? --- L-E story: "An FBI investigation into a $1.9 million embezzlement scheme led authorities last month to discover several firearms in the possession of a Midland felon, court records state. * William Scott Frazier, 42, faces a federal count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Frazier was arrested within the past week and appeared Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Stephen Hyles, who granted Frazier bond on his own recognizance. * Frazier was convicted in 2001 in Florida of uttering a forged instrument, records state. Felons are prohibited from having guns." -- An embezzler, a forger, a felon with multiple guns gets released 'on his own recognizance'? Gimme a break!

Online horror headline/story: "Mom: TSA Treated Girl Like a Terrorist * WICHITA, Kan. The grandmother of a 4-year-old girl who became hysterical during a security screening at a Kansas airport said Wednesday that the child was forced to undergo a pat-down after hugging her, with security agents yelling and calling the crying girl an uncooperative suspect. * "TSA has reviewed the incident and determined that our officers followed proper screening procedures in conducting a modified pat-down on the child," the agency said." -- "our officers followed proper screening procedures"? What else would/could they say? I'm sure "our officers followed proper procedures' was the first thought/reaction of the GSA, the Secret Service, and Jay Carney as well, recently. --- What is/was the MCSD board thinking! Reversing itself on no new information has just nullified any disciplinary action it has to take in the future. Shame on everyone but Beth Harris, and a double dose for John Wells. --- It was bad enough that Dr Crumbs was a victim of his own stupidity, but now Ron White has an even better example, 8 of the MCSD board members, proving, "you can't fix stupid"! --- Of course Ron White is happy,,, now he has a better, tailor made example of 'you can't fix stupid'...the MCSD board!! --- These NAACP & black 'leaders' spend so much time making racial issues when there aren't any, that they look past the black on black problems. --- From a fellow BCer: Apparently a new roof has been built at Panther Stadium just in time for NC to host the 2012 DIM&DUMBERat National Convention...
--- Defending Dr Crumbs' (and might as well throw in the MCSD board now) stupidity is in the same vein as defending Gilbert Gottfried's Tweets about the Japanese to AFLAC. --- From the 'they finally showed themselves' department: Quoted from McClatchy's Miama Herald writer Fabiola Santiago: "It was an appropriate charge levied only after a special prosecutor was assigned to review the substandard investigation by Sanford Police, which hastily decided Zimmerman acted in self-defense under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground Law” and didn’t even keep him in jail overnight until they could properly interview witnesses and investigate further. * On this point alone, one can reasonably question how the shooting of a white teenager by a black man would have been handled." -- Wonder if Fabiola thinks potUS Arpege is white, or Tiger Woods is Asian? Can Ms Santiago come up with one other mixed-racial person of one white parent that she has determined is 'white'? I'm not going to hold my breath until she can think/dream up of one. --- National Day of Prayer is May 3rd. Wonder where potUS Arpege will be vacationing? --- L-E's "Thought for Today": “A good scapegoat is nearly as welcome as a solution to the problem.” — Author unknown." -- Now Dr Andrews knows how this feels. --- How come potUS Arpege doesn't address the high cost of student loans by making colleges reduce the tuition by 50% so students (and/or their parents) could afford college without having to take out these loans? --- Mayor Obamalinson is like a leopard who can change her spots... notice how well she blends in with Republicans when it benefits her. Not a smidgeon of red on her. ---

Online headline: "Jon Lovitz: Obama Is A 'F***ing A**hole' " -- Guess you can say/think ('feel' if you are a liberal), that Jon Lovitz is upset. Probably because with potUS Arpege in office, Lovitz's can't get a gig as the 'pathological liar' because his act is pretty much amateurish compared to potUS Arpege. --- As if we didn't expect it, the HuffPost has officially rewritten the history of the first decade of this century. The HuffPost has stepped up its "Blame Bush" campaign by asserting that Bush "started two wars". Yeah, the HuffPost would want us to believe that Bush flew an airplane into the World Towers but parachuted to safety. Yeah, that's the ticket! No wonder Jon Lovitz is upset at potUS Arpege. --- Online headline: "Mad Cow Case Confirmed In California" -- Ooops, my bad. Just knew this had to be Nancy Pelosi......... --- What started out as a simple restoration project for the Chattahoochee River has turned into a commercial nightmare. Looking at construction activity north of the Eagle & Phenix dam, I am of conclusion that this project needs a theme song...may I suggest "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell (et al)....'they paved paradise and put up a parking lot'. --- Ah, the Ron White act on the 28th is sold out by the latest report. Have to wonder how many Councilors have gotten 'free tickets' and how many MCSD board members will attend. --- Hmmmm, a fellow BCer sent me an e-mail showing Greg Norman's new toy...a $70,000,000.00 yacht. Wonder if he'd swap it out for another try to redo the back nine at Augusta in 1996? --- The war on terrorism is over. Democracy is emerging in Egypt. These are more late night joke material proffered as potUS Arpege tries to revive the comedy industry single handedly. Well, with a lot of help from Joe Biden-Biden. --- On a roll from fellow BCer submitted political cartoons we didn't see in the L-E"
--- L-E "soundoff": "Once again Columbus High students — always graduating near 100 percent and going on to college — are showing more wisdom than the Muscogee County School Board and its (retiring) leader. " -- Just confirmation that Dr. Crumbs made a more stupid judgement than to show Ron White's "You can't fix stupid" routine. You might have some weird sense of sympathy/understanding for him if he showed that video to the teachers at one of several high schools that haven't passed AYP in years. --- Firing the Secret Service agents is the antithesis of how it's done in sports. If a team isn't performing well, it's the manager or coach that gets canned, generally for bad leadership, rather than all the players. To the players: Hang in there, there's a management change coming in November! --- L-E headline/story: "Suspect parks at own home, runs from police * A man stopped for a traffic violation parked at his own home Monday afternoon before running from police, reports state. * Anthony Meredith, 20, is charged with driving while his license was suspended, obstruction of an officer and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, police said. " -- Once again, more argument for impounding or 'booting' a vehicle in which a driver was using when getting his license suspended until the suspension is completed. --- L-E story: "A teen was robbed of his cellphone Sunday afternoon outside Springfield Crossing Apartments, Columbus police said. * The robbery happened about 5:30 p.m. outside the 3320 N. Lumpkin Road apartments. The 15-year-old boy was on the apartments’ playground when another teen approached and hit him on his right jaw, reports state. * Police say the suspect then took a $400 cell phone before leaving the scene." -- 15 year olds with $400.00 cellphone and monthly bill to match in a low income neighborhood. Of course there's no way for government programs to improve its processing of recipients. Jon Lovitz, we need you! --- L-E story: "Someone broke into Kendrick High School over the weekend, causing $400 in damage in the process, Columbus police said. * The burglary happened between noon Friday and 6:45 a.m. Monday. " -- "The burglary happened between noon Friday and 6:45 a.m. Monday. " ? -- What happened to all that video surveillance equipment the MCSD voted to have an outside company install, and where were the MCSD security forces? And how much money did the MCSD pay out for the security forces to work between Friday and Monday? --- L-E headline: "Man guilty of lobbing brick through front door of federal courthouse " -- This was an attempt for a homeless man to get back to prison and its false security of a roof and 3 squares. How is the City's 10 Year Homeless Plan going to make a dent in circumstances such as this? ---

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

potUS Arpege cited, "Somebody gave me an education. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth." -- Hmmm, if 'somebody' was the taxpayers, then Columbia should be showing all of us his grades. --- Metta World Peace.... Ron Artest.... Felonious SOB have one thing in common. They are interchangeable names for someone who should be banned from the NBA and charged with attempted murder. If that blow had been accidental, or even if he had ANY compassion or regret, Felonious SOB would have reacted a whole lot different, including turning around to offer assistance (or at least show concern) to Harden --- WTVM 9 'misleading headline': "New dormitory in Muscogee County Jail for veteran inmates " -- Ooops, my bad. Thought from the headline that this was about some repeat offenders getting special upgrades for the number of visits to jail. In reality, it's about special help for military veterans who land in jail. Hope the program is successful. --- Passed on from a fellow conservative:
Obviously, this has not, will not, run in the L-E --- And another from the same source:
I call this a 'bio' picture for the Professional Campaigners Tour guide. Guess his newest slogan will be "Fore More Years" --- One thing that has become quite apparent is that Tim ChitWAAD (excuse me if I misspelled that, but it's easy to do) is jealous that he didn't break the Dr Crumbs' story. What's stranger is that even with the direct connection of the L-E and the MCSD board chairperson, the L-E did not break this story. --- Racist liberal L-E "soundoff" : "Like Susan Andrews, this 52-year-old white man thinks the Crumbs controversy is a teachable moment. If you’re a black principal at an old money public/private school you better be perfect. " -- Here's another 'teachable moment', if you're a liberal or racist, and don't like the truth, toss in the race card. --- Dysfunctional (I know, redundant) liberal L-E "soundoff": "Better interpretation of gun laws doesn’t mean disarming citizens, it means making sure morons aren’t entitled to carry fully automatic weapon. But conservatives want to stretch the truth of liberals’ intentions. " -- "conservatives want to stretch the truth of liberals' intentions"? No, conservatives want to shine the light of truth on liberals' intentions. --- L-E's "Thought for Today": “I feel proud to be living in a country where people are not afraid to laugh at themselves and where political satire is tolerated by the government, if not the television network.” — Pat Paulsen (born 1927, died this date in 1997)." -- Would, no, could venerable Pat Paulson say this in today's world of political correctness? --- L-E story: "Egypt denies licenses to 8 U.S. nonprofits to operate * CAIRO — Egyptian authorities have denied permission to eight American nonprofit groups to operate locally, including a center headed by former President Jimmy Carter that monitors elections, a ministry official said Monday." -- Yeah, the Muslims are such religious tolerant people. --- If Mayor Obamalinson brings up the reduction of garbage pick up to once a week, she better have a better argument than it would save local households about .50 cents a month annually. --- Things may be picking up in local housing market.. the L-E's Tuesday Foreclosure Section is only 6 pages.

Online story: "WASHINGTON, April 21 (Reuters) - New state laws designed to fight voter fraud could reduce the number of Americans signing up to vote in this year's presidential election by hundreds of thousands, a potential problem for President Barack Obama's re-election bid." -- Whatta media attitude!!! If this is a 'potential problem' for potUS Arpege, then it's only because what's good for him is not what's good for this country. --- Passed on from a fellow BCer: I have always considered the Catholic Church as moderates as a whole. There was nothing moderate about this ad. Copy and paste the URL site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9vQt6IXXaM&hd --- Online headline: "Iran Claims To Be Building Copy Of Captured US Drone" -- Claims to have reversed engineered it. Hmmm, maybe they programmed it with the targets we had in the one they got.. that would be poetic justice!! --- WTVM 9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are investigating the murder of 19 year-old Antonio Robinson. He was shot in the head around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. * It happened on the corner of George Street and Brown Avenue. * Witnesses say Robinson was returning from a night club when a fight occurred. Police are following several leads in the case but have not identified a suspect at this time." -- "returning from a nightclub"; 19 and returning from a nightclub... Either the GA Legislature needs to require all alcohol serving clubs and liquor/convenience stores use the readily available electronic ID checking devices to validate customer ID ages, or require such outlets to hire an on duty policeman to eye-check patron IDs. --- In a nutshell, the way to help the poor is by not making the helpers poor. --- L-E headline: "Senate panel to explore Secret Service sex scandal " -- Hmmm, bet the potUS Arpege is already working on a deal with Oliver Stone for the movie rights, and HBO for a new series. --- L-E story: "In 2011, Columbus Council approved a contract for almost $5.2 million with Southeast Environmental Contractors, Inc., to do the work. * The contractors recently finished stabilizing the 1,800 feet of riverbank, Arrington said." -- Have you seen the eyesore pictures of the riverbank? If you thought the old used tire retaining wall the City put up in Lakebottom Park during then 80's was ugly, you haven't seen ugly! A repair with Duct Tape would be pretty in comparison. --- Looks like Chitwood is trying to use me to increase his own column's popularity. Hey, Chitwood (was very careful, again, not to spell it "Chit-WEED" or worse). Since you have taken time to count my e-mail list, it's only fair for you to realize that my e-mail list is for friends and acquaintances who have invited me into their homes. Personally, it's rare I get through a complete column of yours before losing interest, but I'm sure there are others that with lower standards that enjoy your stuff. ---

Online headline/story: "Report: Wal-Mart hushed up bribe network in Mexico * NEW YORK -Wal-Mart Stores Inc. hushed up a vast bribery campaign that top executives of its Mexican subsidiary carried out to build stores across that country, according to a published report. * The newspaper said that only after learning of its investigation did Wal-Mart inform the U.S. Justice Department in December 2011 that it had begun an internal investigation into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Under that law, it is illegal for U.S. corporations and their subsidiaries to bribe foreign officials." -- "Under that law (the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.), it is illegal for U.S. corporations and their subsidiaries to bribe foreign officials."??? We have a law that keeps legitimate private businesses from using their 'smarts' to get business rolling in foreign companies, yet our government has programs that ship guns to foreign drug lords, and our foreign aid policy, which bribes foreign governments to allow CIA to have access to their countries is "OK"? We have a warped Department of Justice! --- Online story: "What's the best way to cure what ails the U.S. Postal Service? * If you ask the postmaster general, saving the Post Office will require shutting down about one out of every three post offices currently in operation, laying off tens of thousands of postal workers, and ending Saturday mail delivery once and for all. * Ask the actual USPS workers, though, and they say one simple move can solve all the Postal Service's problems: Raise the price of a stamp to something approaching what customers pay in other countries." -- What's with this desire to want to arbitrarily raise the cost of a product here to a level of foreign countries...this is AMERICA? Why do potUS Arpege's and the unions' think you can raise gasoline to $8.00 or $9.00 a gallon, and postage prices to cover up the waste and inefficiencies of monopolistic oligarchies, and still have America lead the world? Hurry, November, before potUS Arpege has time to buy enough voters to get him and Congressional DIM&DUMBERats re-elected! --- potUS Arpege is out 'wooing' college students' votes with higher cost tuition and special student loan rates... This just shows how inadequately the average college student is when he/she enters college. Most college students don't have enough (at least not proper) business math experience before the US Government allows them, at 18 years old, to sign contracts without the knowledge of the impact of what they will owe to pay it back. As it is, outstanding college loans have topped a TRILLION dollars (which is more than all US credit card debt). --- Two currently running ads really offend me. Chantix claims it can help you to quit smoking, but states side effects that range from severe to bazaar, and we all know that you quit smoking by just saying 'no' to the bad habit of putting a cigarette to your mouth and lighting it. No drug is going to make changing a personal choice (well, arsenic will, but that's a different story) easy. The other offensive ad is "Christian Mingle", an online match/meeting service where you can find "God's choice" for you. Anyone claiming to 'know' what God's plan for me or you during our Earthly life is at best a false prophet. --- Online headline: "Experts Say Zimmerman Lawyer Made Smart Move" -- Hmmm, just an everyday occurrence of "the truth will set you free". The picture of Zimmerman's bloodied head have been out there from Day 1, yet the media has run inflammatory story after inflammatory story, shown low resolution videos taken after Zimmerman's wounds had been treated/cleaned by medical technicians, and pushed a racial tone to the event to keep the flames of hatred blazing hot. Even our local media has been guilty of such incendiary reporting. Why has media forgotten that the truth is more important than being the first to report something? --- Whether we get term limits or not; whether we send new faces to Washington or not; neither of these actions will make much difference in the long term, unless we elect people who will fight to change how Congress works. The first step will be to eliminate the ability, the practice of attaching non-related bills/riders to other bills. --- L-E headline/story/picture: "Spokesman: Bee Gee Robin Gibb wakes from coma * Robin Gibb's spokesman says the Bee Gees star has woken from a coma and is showing signs of recovery.
-- Excuse me, but this looks more like a mortician's cometologist's make-over than a real live person. --- A comment about Karl Douglass's column in today's L-E: I, too, was a Marvin Crumbs fan when he tripped himself up. Dr. Crumbs was at CHS in a different capacity when 2 of my children attend there, and interactions with him were always handled in a compassionate and 'what's best' manner. As 'stupid' (since that has become the acceptable standard of the situation) as his showing the Ron White video was, it has been Dr Crumbs lack of professionalisn since that has weakened my personal support of him. That photo of him wearing jeans and an untucked in knit shirt going to address the students was a more stupid action than the one that brought attention to himself. A proper apology to the staff, to the students, to the School Administration/Board, and to Columbus, in suitable attire, was called for, no,demanded of him. This was a moment he could have regained his needed sense of professionalism. Now, who's 'stupid'? Karl Douglass...I've known him since his Little League years..(his dad, too) and he's got potential as a column writer, but under the circumstances that he's also the paid Campaign Consultant for Sanford Bishop, is it proper for the L-E to publish his thoughts when the L-E quashed John House's column because House is running against Bishop. At a minimum, the L-E should make note of the Douglass-Bishop Connection. --- L-E story: "Grayhawk Homes of Columbus has been awarded the Top Efficiency Builder Award of 2011 from Georgia Power. An event was held at The Chattahoochee River Club on April 11 to honor Dave Erickson and the Grayhawk Homes Team. During the event, Paul Bruner of Georgia Power spoke about the importance of the building industry in local communities and the benefits of building energy efficient homes" -- It is a conspiracy! GA Power spends oodles of money it can tell the PSC are necessary expenses, pushing "energy efficiency" which allows GA Power to complain to the PSC that people are using less energy so that the PSC will let GA Power raise its rates to compensate. Personally, I'd like to see the PSC to tell GA Power to work on its internal efficiencies to cut costs so rate increase won't be necessary. --- L-E headline: "Comedian Ron White changes standup for RiverCenter show to focus on Columbus High principal's reassignment" -- No doubt! What else would a comedian do to take advantage of the perfect example demonstrating 'stupidiy' ? --- Amazingly stupid L-E "soudoff": "Let’s remember our priorities - Public education’s primary goal should be teaching self-esteem and acceptance of diversity and homosexuality. Math/science is secondary. Parents who want to bore students with math and science should do it on their own time." -- In a week of such demonstrated stupidity in the MCSD, could anything sum it up better that this? The thoughts of who could dream up this drivel run amok... a teacher, a defrocked principal, a liberal journalist, or just a liberal in general... Of course some parents got an early jump on such stupidity... they decided to 'home school' their children or send them to private schools. --- While Chitwood's columns are seldom worthy of readership, today's is an exception. Not because it's funny, but because it demonstrates what our children are learning in public schools, and it's scary.... --- From Council's Agenda as posted in the L-E:L "CLERK OF COUNCIL’S AGENDA * Letter from Deputy Clerk of Council forwarding the Charter Review Commission’s amended recommendation to remove the $500 user fee from the November 2012 ballot." -- This is the worst case of 'backroom politics' that has exposed itself to the light in a long time. Let the citizens of Columbus decide this issue!

Online story/picture: "A newly released photo shows George Zimmerman’s head dripping with blood, reportedly just moments after he gunned down Trayvon Martin. * The picture was shown Friday on “Good Morning America” and could lend support to Zimmerman's version of the events that ended in the death of the unarmed 17-year-old in a gated Florida community. -- What is it they say... about the worth of a picture?
--- Where's all the compassion Trayvon Martin's parents had a few weeks ago when they said it would be justice if George Zimmerman was just charged with something so justice could be served? Zimmerman was arrested, charged, and given bail. Now the Martins are furious that Zimmerman is out on bail. Just as we all knew, justice is not what they were looking for... they want Revenge, whether it is justice or not. --- Online headline: "General Electric Earnings 1Q 2012: Exiting Irish Mortgage Business Adds To 11.6 Percent Profit Decline " -- Alright! When Jeffrey Immelt started advising potUS Arpege, I stopped buying anything GE made... light bulbs, appliances..it didn't matter, if had GE on it, I put it back on the shelf. Isn't it great to know 1 person can make a difference? It's also comforting to no there are many "1 persons" out there. --- Now that Osama bin Laden is dead, Pakistan is deporting his wives and family. Guess, since bin Laden isn't forking out money anymore, his family is no longer wanted in Pakistan. Hmmm, do you think that if 'we' stopped paying Pakistan kajillions in foreign aid that Pakistan will kick 'us' out, too? --- Dr. Crumbs should take some good, old advice that has been passed down from generation to generation: "When you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING!" Whether it's PAGE, GEA or the NEA, teachers have campaigned over and over for acceptance as 'professionals'. Nothing Dr. Crumbs has done lately has been worthy of being called 'professional'. --- Why commute a death sentence to life without parole? If 'life without parole' is a worthy sentence, then the state Board of Pardons and Paroles basically found nothing to undermine the basic evidence, and the state Board of Pardons and Paroles is basically punishing the taxpayers by having us continue the killer's room & board and legal fees,--- L-E news story: "A temporary rock and dirt access road has also been built from the 14th Street Bridge over the Eagle & Phenix Dam on the Georgia side of the river. * The road will be used to bring in heavy equipment to sculpt rapids below what remains of the Eagle & Phenix Dam. The dam will be removed when that work's done, opening the channel on the Georgia side." -- "to sculpt rapids below the remains of the Eagle & Phenix dam"? This began as a simple dam removal project to 'restore' the Chattahoochee to its natural state. How does 'sculpting' fit into restoring the Chatt to its natural state? --- L-E interview with Ron White: "This is the first time he has heard of his material getting someone else in trouble, he said, and it wasn’t even one of his less tasteful jokes: “That is the least offensive bit I’ve ever written in my life.” -- His mother must be very proud of him. --- Read more here: http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2012/04/20/2019903/archaeologists-examining-riverbed.html#storylink=omni_popular#wgt=pop#storylink=cpy BC Public Service Announcement: Here’s how the FBI says you can check your computer: Go to www.dcwg.org   Click on “Detect” in the upper left corner, or on the Green Button next to it. "a low haircut", and I still don't know what it is I should be looking for to ID the suspect. --- L-E headline: " Secret Service closes case on Ted Nugent’s remarks" -- Guess the SS troops all ready had the names/numbers of Nugent's girlfriends. --- L-E story: "WASHINGTON (RNS) — A growing tide of young Americans is drifting away from the religions of their childhood — and most of them are ending up in no religion at all. * One in four young adults choose “unaffiliated” when asked about their religion, according to a new report from the Public Religion Research Institute and Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs. * But most within this unaffiliated group — 55 percent — identified with a religious group when they were younger." -- Typical media slant.. use the uncertainly of youth to confirm media's own estrangement. Thank goodness, Jesus is out looking for the sheep who lose their way, and welcomes them back when they are ready.

"Senate Races 2012: Republican Establishment Tries To Tamp Down Tea Party Insurgency * Six-term Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.) seemed all alone in facing an insurgent Tea Party primary challenge from state treasurer Richard Mourdock, who is backed by big money from the Club for Growth and FreedomWorks. * On Tuesday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) endorsed Lugar and announced they would cut ads to support him. " -- While I agree with laws that allow anyone to support the candidate of their choice, I have two problems with the above scenario: one is that people (or the majority of the members of a PAC) should not be able to send money to politicians they are not able to actually vote for, and, second, that if a politician donates to another politician, the money has to come from his personal funds, not from his campaign account. If I wanted to donate more than am able to donate to a candidate, it's too easy for me to donate the maximum to a candidate, then give a similar amount to another politician (who is not being challenged) with the stipulation that he/she give a donation to the other candidate. --- Online story: "WASHINGTON — It isn't Mitt Romney who's giving Barack Obama fits as the president pivots to re-election mode. It's those federal bureaucrats carousing in Las Vegas, the Secret Service consorting with Colombian prostitutes and U.S. soldiers posing with bloody enemy corpses." -- You know, our brave soldiers posing with dead enemy suicide bombers doesn't bother me...it's a war, but the GSA and Secret Service scandals do bother me...they are the results of poor leadership and taxpayer abuse. --- The latest from barackobama.com: "Want to meet George Clooney and Barack Obama -- at Clooney's house? * He's hosting supporters at his home next month to help build support for this campaign and elect President Obama in November. And he's saving seats for two grassroots supporters like you and their guests. It's just not a chance most people get -- well, ever." -- "He's (Clooney) hosting supporters at his home to ..... elect President Obama in November"? To 'elect' potUS Arpege in November? Where has Clooney (for that matter, potUS Arpege) been the last 4 years? Romney is running for election; Arpege is running for re-election. On the other hand, I guess since potUS Arpege doesn't have a record of things he can proudly run on, maybe he thinks he's again the candidate of 'hope and change'... --- Passed on from a fellow BCer: "Apparently, I’m supposed to be more outraged by what Mitt Romney does with his money than by what Barack Obama does with mine." -- Good philosophy to compare every politician to when they run for re-election. --- More 'latest from barackobama.com': "I'm writing because Barack needs you out there this summer. * Through the Organizing Fellowship program, you can work in a full-time volunteer position, learn the principles of field organizing, and then carry out important grassroots activities on the ground. * It's an amazing experience -- one that could change your life while shaping this country for decades to come. * There will be difficult days, and long ones, too. But being an organizer is one of the best experiences you can have working in politics." -- "..being an organizer is one of the best experiences you can have working in politics."? Guess potUS Arpege can speak from experience on this, because he sure can't look at his presidency and claim that. --- From WRBL 3 story: "“When families are going down the whitewater and a sibling or a parent might not be willing to do it so they might be onshore then the Center will provide a place for cultural activity while the others are having their physical activity,” said (Bo) Bartlett." -- I like Bo Barlett... as a friend and as an artist; have a print of his , and he's done portraits of my mother, father, and aunt that are marvelous, but I do not agree with his evaluation that whitewater weekenders have culture on their minds as an alternative attraction. --- WRBL 3 story: "Reverend J.H. Flakes Jr. of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church is officially retiring after serving 50 years at his church." -- Hope he retires from politics as well! --- L-E story: "Ousted Columbus High Principal Mar-vin Crumbs will appeal the disciplinary action resulting from his showing faculty a clip of comedian Ron White’s “You Can’t Fix Stupid” routine. " -- On what basis? He did something stupid by showing "You can't fix stupid". Case closed. --- L-E story: "Three Columbus men get jail time in dogfighting case" -- "jail time"? An appropriate sentence would be to tether them in a cage of pi bulls at their once-a-week feeding time.... --- L-E headline: "Obama congratulates Alabama on BCS title, community service" -- Well, potUS Arpege and Bama certainly have one thing in common, after winning a 'national championship', they both fumbled the trophy. --- When you think about it, the Dr Crumbs' episode could definitely have been a script for an upcoming "Al Bundy" marathon showing. --- Since "stupid" has become a major local topic, here's a stupid (I know, redundant) liberal's L-E "soundoff": "The reason the Democrats didn’t get the tax law changed to make the rich pay a more fair share is because of filibustering and blockading by the Republicans. " -- "a more fair share"? In reality, 'a more fair share' for 'the rich' would be for 'the rich' to pay less. What's 'more fair' is for the nearly 50% (wonder what the percentage of liberals is in this number?) of non-income paying "taxpayers' to pay theor 'fair share'. I do have a curiosity question to ask...Is there mpre than one conr=tributing liberal to "soundoff", or are all the stupid liberal "soundoffs" the feelings of just one liberal? --- More stupid stuff as seen in the L-E: "“This is a teachable moment for them,” (Dr Susan)Andrews said. “We’re Americans, and we get to say we don’t like certain things, and children, students, need to know that. But they also need to know there are parameters within which you do that, and so I told the assistant principals, don’t try to squelch their feelings about this, but let’s teach them what is an acceptable way to do this. * “I thought the students’ wearing black, that was an acceptable way to do that." -- Arrggghhhh! "students wearing black... appropriate"? What's Dr Andrews trying to do, make this nothing but an issue of "black and Ron White"? --- More stupid stuff:
This picture further demonstrates how out-of-hand this situation has become. At a time when sanity and professionalism, not more stupidity, is needed, why is Dr Crumbs wearing a knit shirt and jeans on the CHS campus and addressing the student body? --- L-E story: "ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal signed a handful of bills Thursday that tweak how the state funds K-12 education, saying his ultimate goal is to create a system that financially rewards public schools that improve student performance. " -- Let's start two pools. One as to when the first liberal screams, "That's not fair!", and, secondly, when Al Sharpton arrives to proclaim this is a 'racist action'. --- From L-E story: "Tiger defender - Tiger Woods’ swing coach Sean Foley said Thursday that criticism of his client had gone too far. Foley said everyone should support Woods because he is good for the game of golf. " -- Since when does affirmative action have a place in golf? No professional golfer gets a handicap advantage, nor are winnings enhanced by a 'learning curve'. I think Tiger Woods is good for the game but only when he's playing golf in an admirable way. Cussing, temper tantrums and the like are not reasons to admire any golfer, especially on tour. ---

From the 'you can't make this up' department - potUS Arpege 'timed' his Colombian trip to coincide with the traditional "parade of donkeys" in Turbaco, Colombia. It's rather obvious that the sign had to be provided by the Arpege Campaign Committee (has the Arpege icon emblazoned versus anything "USA") as well as the hats worn by the donkey and its friends, so why are we taxpayers paying for this trip?
--- Is this really appropriate....Karl Douglass...I've known him since his Little League years..(his dad, too) and he's got potential as a column writer, but under the circumstances that he's also the Campaign Consultant for Sanford Bishop, is it proper for the L-E to publish his thoughts when the L-E quashed John House's column because House is running against Bishop. At a minimum, the L-E should make note of the Douglass-Bishop Connection. Another strange connection is that Councilwoman Turner-Pugh is Bishop's Campaign treasurer. This kind of connection bothers me, especially considering the Bishop's wife is Clerk of Municipal Court, and Turner-Pugh's husband, director of the Urban League, is running against Ed Harbison. On top of the personal connections with Bishop, both Turner-Pugh and Douglass are compensated by the Bishop campaign. This is too much politics without full disclosure. --- Online story: "FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— The former mistress of fired University of Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino has resigned from her position with the program, school officials announced Tuesday. * Jessica Dorrell's decision to step down as the football team's student-athlete development coordinator was mutual and there are no immediately plans to re-fill the job, Athletic Director Jeff Long said in a statement. * Dorrell will be paid about $14,000 to settle "all matters between the parties." -- Can it get any worse in college football than when coaches hire their mistresses, and have them on negotiable dismissal contracts! --- Online story: "PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Port of Portland police say a traveler at PDX took off far more than his shoes and belt while going through airport security. * John Brennan, 50, was arrested shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after TSA agents say he took off all his clothes and refused to put them back on while passing through the ABC checkpoint." -- Well, he was probably just all worked up from the pat down of a cute TSA gal (or guy), and shouldn't have been arrested. --- Looks like potUS Arpege has CHANGED his campaign of HOPE to one of GROPE and HARANGUE . --- Have you noticed the absence of discussion about inflation, and how it effects our economy and well being. potUS Arpege and his spinmeisters keep the cost of living focus on the price of gas, but grocery, medicine, and recreational facilities and products are rapidly escalating, but no political representatives seem to be aware or concerned. You BCer's on board, ask your spouse about what your favorite snacks cost now; better yet go with him/her and see for yourself. It's not pretty out there, --- Online story: "Amanda Clayton, a Michigan woman who won $1 million from the state lottery last year, was arraigned today in district court on felony charges stemming from an investigation that found she failed to report her lottery winnings and employment status to the Department of Human Services in order to continue receiving public assistance. * "Well, I thought that [the Department of Human Services] would cut me off. But since they didn't, I thought maybe [collecting benefits] was ok because I'm not working," Clayton, who had been receiving food assistance since 2010, told the station. * When asked if she needed the assistance, Clayton told WDIV-TV, "I mean, I kind of do [need the money]. I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay. I have two houses." -- You know, she could probably win her case in Detroit by showing candidate Obama, a.k.a. potUS Arpege, campaigning on paying for her housing, gas, food, and education. After all, when you have those covered, what potUS Arpege voter needs/wants a job! --- Online headline: "Senate Weighing Postal Service Measures" -- Oooops, my bad. Thought somebody had finally recalibrated the scales. --- Dick Clark has died. Perhaps a fitting memorial would be to place his coffin/urn into the New Year's ball so he would be a part of that event forever. --- Online headline: "Janet Jackson Super Bowl 'Wardrobe Malfunction': White House Asks Supreme Court To Reassess FCC Fine " -- Aside from the appropriateness of potUS Arpege interfering with a US Supreme Court decision, what makes potUS Arpege think that the Supreme Court wouyld do him any favors anyway? --- Eddings is the epitome of the 99%... All those lawyers are claiming a housewife scammed them all; just waltzed through all the protective measures, and scammed them all. Yeah, the dog ate my homework. Once again, 99% of lawyers ruin the reputations of the other 1%. --- Glad the CWW board chose the CWW candidate; the other two were Florida people and they would have no experience with good drinking water production. Do hope the Water Board rethinks it's pay scale. There should be a much lower salary cap since the CWW is basically a local government monopoly. --- Ron White will probably end up including Crumb's episode as a confirmation of "you can't fix stupid". It was a 'stupid' move by Crumb; it was a self-fulfilling, un-'fix'-able prophecy on his part. On the other hand, Marvin Crumb is a very capable, and genuinely good person. The MCSD acted wisely in removing him from the CHS post, but keeping him within the system so his talents won't be lost to another district. --- Liberal L-E "soundoff": "For over three years, President Obama has served us appetizers. He needs four more years to serve the main course. " -- "appetizers"? More like 'suckerfish" bait, and now that he's got the hook set in this 'suckerfish's mouth, potUS Arpege is just waiting to reel him in.

Online headline/story: "Americans Prefer Budget Cuts To Tax Increases To Reduce Deficit: Survey * April 17 (Reuters) - Cutting government programs is favored as the way to reduce the U.S. budget deficit by more than twice as many Americans..." -- A survey (and undoubtedly probably paid by 'us') was needed to show this? DIM&DUMBERats should be shaking in their shoes about November. --- Online headline/story: "Wisconsin Recall: State Board Says Fake Democrats Can Run In Election * The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board voted unanimously that the six "protest candidates" recruited by Republicans be allowed to run as Democrats because state law doesn't require candidates to prove that they belong to a party." -- It's only fair since DIM&DUMBERats lowered the bar for requiring presidential candidates provide authenticated birth certificates BEFORE candidates run in presidential primaries. --- A soldier was arrested for urinating on the front door of The Loft. Guess he was a graduate of 'you can't fix stupid', and thought the sign read 'The Loo'. --- potUS Arpege is concerned about fraud and deception of oil companies that increase the price of gas at the pumps... Why isn't he more concerned about fraud and deception at the GSA which hits taxpayers directly in their wallets? --- Clarification note: Arpège is a French word (and perfume), and is pronounced with 'g' being a soft one (a 'j' sound). Arpège used to run a very good ad campaign using the 'hook', "promise her anything, but give her Arpège". --- Online quote service: ""Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country." Margaret Thatcher " -- What a timely nightmare for Hillary Rosen and the DIM&DUMBERtas! --- Online headline/story: " Official Put Bounty on Obama's Head? * A politician is in hot water for reportedly offering millions for the capture of President Obama and former President George W. Bush" -- Now we know a second reason Romney suggested potUS Arpege should 'Start packing'. --- Did you see any of the GSA investigation yesterday? When the 5 who were present were sworn in stood up, it looked like they were all wearing the same Jos A. Bank suits. You'd think they got one of those "buy 1, get 4 more free deals", but the reality is that they probably did, but charged the taxpayers for the full cost for each one. --- L-E headline: "Georgia board stays execution of Taylor County murderer to examine claims" -- What claims? The same ones he was found guilty of 20 years ago? Once again, following conviction involving a death sentence, the state should provide a maximum window of two years for such appeals while giving such convicts a priority track for the appeal (single). Taxpayers should not be further penalized by extended 'room and board' or financially supporting lawyers. --- L-E column: "Richard Hyatt: Race should be factor in Muscogee County superintendent search" -- The only 'race' factor that should be relevant is the 'race' to attain a quality educational environment for children of all 'races'. --- What the MCSD board needs to be looking for in a new Superintendent is a person, gender or race not important, who is not looking at the Superintendent of Muscogee County schools as their pre-retirement job. Hiring someone that will be here long enough to see his/her ideas to actually come to fruition (and make a difference) should be the main criteria of the hunt for a new "Super". --- Why is Roy Bourgeois in the news? Perhaps even in 'scarlett' ink. --- Marvin Crumbs is a good man...a capable man, and his talents should not be thrown away.. had the opportunity to see him in action over a several year period, but he wrote his own epitaph by stupidly showing the clip, "You Can't Fix Stupid". Bet he looks back at his own self-fulfilling legacy. --- L-E "headlie"/story: "COLUMBUS STATE UNIVERSITY * CSU makes smallest tuition increase in decade * The regents also approved 18 fee increases at various institutions across the system. Students at CSU will see the fee for the school’s new recreation center increase to $170 per semester from $135 per semester. Lester said the increase will go toward bond repayments, utilities and general operations for the facility, which opened in 2011." -- Mandatory fees are just as important as class fees in determining education costs, as are the costs of students buying food and sundries at the 'college stores' because of funds locked into the proprietary "Cougar Card". --- When CSU was building the "student spa center" it projected that a $125.00 mandatory fee per semester would pay for it. With student enrolment at record levels, why are students having to pay an additional $45.00 over the initial projections? --- Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Read the Constitution. The House of Representatives, not the Senate, initiates all money bills, including the budget. Republicans control the House. " -- Well, Republicans have presented a budget; it's just not looked at or voted on in the DIM/DUMB run Senate, nor would it be signed by potUS Arpege. Of course, when Queen Pelosi was House Speaker over a predominant DIM/DUMB Congress, there were no budget bills passed. --- Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "For decades, the gun lobby has held America hostage through their morbid misinterpretation of the Second Amendment. All one has to do is turn on any news program to see how well that is working. " -- If all the laws were aimed at only restricting the purchase, possession, use, and ability to carry whenever/wherever for criminals, there wouldn't be the need for many laws. Law abiding citizens unfettered possession works to keep crime down wherever it is implemented. --- I have a question Council needs to consider: At the end of 10 years, will the directorship of the 10 year Homeless" initiative be phased completely out? What, after 5 years or so will be the Council's posture should eliminating 'homelessness' be shown not to be making any progress that indicates continuing another 5 years will cure it? --- L-E's "Thought for today: “There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out.” — Russian proverb. " -- This should be posted in every Congressional Investigation Chamber, and the motto of every government "Ethics Committee"! --- What's with these ads proclaiming the union based US Postal Service runs efficiently without tax dollars. The US Postal Service has run in the red for years, and it takes being propped up by taxpayers for it to continue running. Just more union propaganda, and the ad campaign needs to be thoroughly examined as to who is paying for these ads? --- L-E headline/story: "Councilors not pleased with natatorium’s projected deficit * New facility to operate at $1.2 million deficit * Parks and Recreation Director James Worsley presented the business plan to councilors during a special called work session. It projected the facility would have annual expenses of about $2.1 million and revenues of about $900,000. * Several Councilors were not pleased with the news. -- First, thanks to James Worsley's candid honesty...we don't get much of that when budgets are made as a rule; secondly, why are there only "several Councilors not pleased with the news". All recreational operations should be supported by the people who use them, and use fees should coverer the costs. Private industry not only requires itself to cover costs, it needs to have a 'profit' (contrary to most Councilor's standards, "profit" is not a derogatory word) to pay for ongoing maintenance and future services. --- L-E news flash: A 17 year old was caught having sex with a younger female at Lakebottom Park while children were playing baseball close by. The L-E named the 17 year old male, but didn't name the 23 & 20 year old couple engaged in similar activities at the Fall Line Trace rest stop. --- With bigger fish to fry, why is Roger Clemen's back on trial? --- From the 'why is this news' department: "Buffett has early-stage prostate cancer * OMAHA, Neb. — Warren Buffett is telling shareholders in an open letter he has been diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. * The 81-year-old billionaire investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. said in the letter, released Tuesday, that his condition is “not remotely life-threatening” or debilitating." -- Let's face it, eventually every male will deal with prostate problems. Reaching 81 before it flares up is it's own blessing. One thing to note here is that under "HELL-thScare", some panel would probably RULE Buffet is too old to be considered for such surgery. Let's face it, this will be the only "Buffet Rule" that passes. ---

Online story: "PALMVIEW, Texas -- A 15-year-old South Texas boy has been charged with nine counts of murder among other charges after a van he was driving crashed, killing nine of the suspected undocumented immigrants packed inside. * Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said the boy, a U.S. citizen from Hidalgo County, said this morning he drove the van because his family had been threatened. * Barrera said prosecutors would decide whether to try the boy as an adult. * The nine killed in the rollover crash last Tuesday were all Mexican citizens." -- "would decide whether to try the boy as an adult"? Age has nothing to do with the crime, and this seems undoubtedly 'adult' in nature. --- Online story: "We've never been falsely accused of a traffic violation, having earned every last second of our time before a judge, but when it does happen to us, we'll certainly want to brush up on our physics. Dmitiri Krioukov, a physicist with the University of California, recently pleaded his way out of a fine for rolling through a stop sign using the power of mathematics." -- I don't know why this was even considered a story.. the U of C professor obviously had a "BS" degree... --- Online story: " WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Monday he regrets the cost to taxpayers for his weekend trips to his California home, but says it's important "just to get your mind straight and your perspective straight." * Panetta said he'd try to find some savings, with each round trip costing approximately $32,000." -- It's about time this has hit the mainstream media! Panetta would have a better argument for commuting back to California if he were a Congressman or Senator and represented Californians, but Panetta is in a Washington job. Panetta should have brought his family to Washington when he accepted the job! Problem solved... --- Online headline/story: "George Washington Named Country's Biggest Enemy * LONDON, April 15 (Reuters) - American revolutionary leader George Washington has been voted the greatest enemy commander to face Britain, lauded for his spirit of endurance against the odds and the enormous impact of his victory. * In a contest organised by the National Army Museum, Washington triumphed over Irish independence hero Michael Collins, France's Napoleon Bonaparte, German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey." -- Obviously the British 'voters' were not told that they would be $17,000,000,000.00 MORE in debt had they won in 1776, or they would have voted for Washington being its best friend/hero. --- Romney just hired 300 new employees to work on his national campaign,,, how many jobs has potUS Arpege created lately? --- Online headline: "Nation Marks Its First Murder-Free Day in Three Years" -- Ooops, my bad.. It's not US; guess we'll have to keep waiting for one of those days. --- Online headline: "World Bank Taps Obama Nominee As New Leader" -- Ooops, my bad... Thought the World Bank had tapped into potUS Arpege's printing press. --- Online headline: "Huffington Post Wins Pulitzer Prize" -- And I'm just as sure the HuffPost deserved one as much as potUS Arpege did in 2009 --- WTVM 9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA - Someone left a party Saturday night on Oakview Ave. with an unusual party favor. * The victim and host of the party reported to police that a guest might have stolen 100 hydrocodone tablets from his kitchen during the night of April 14. * He found the container still in his kitchen cabinet the next morning, but it was missing the prescription pills. * The party had a number of guests attend, but the host didn't know them very well, according to police. * He thinks one of the guests may be responsible, but there were no known witnesses." ???? I may be wrong, but logic seems to make me question whether any Doctor would write a prescription for 100 hydrocordone tablets to anyone. Could his be a pharmacy bottle originally involved in a burglary? --- The latest from barackobama.com: Hal -- Today, Diane Sawyer asked Mitt Romney if he had a message he'd like to send the President. Here's what he said: "Start packing." -- Of course potUS Arpege was really inferring that Romney is a racist because potUS Arpege probably thought he said 'start packing' and guns are illegal in Washington. --- L-E story: "By TIM CHITWOOD tchitwood@ledger-enquirer.com  * Comedian Ron White’s “You Can’t Fix Stupid” schtick is raising a stink amid complaints Columbus High School’s principal showed a clip of it during an April 9 staff meeting. * The complaints have been amplified by emails about the incident circulating around the city. One message sent Monday bore 132 email addresses, though some were different accounts for the same recipient. "-- Not sure how Chitwood got a copy of this since he's not one of the BCers, but maybe he would like to be included in the future. Maybe I'll hear from him. ---

The latest from barackobama.com: Here's potUS Arpege's latest campaign poster photo. Really is accurate in how he depicts what he's done for the American future:
Haven't even seen the show since it started, but heard a rumor last week that Simon Cowell's "X Factor" has hired Britney Spears to a $15 Million dollar deal to be a 'judge' on the show. "Judge" on that show, or American Idol is quite a stretch of a job description to begin with, but why resurrect someone's career who intentionally destroyed it to begin with? This is a case of the "Buffet Rule: I would support...being 'buffeted' from having to see her if my channel surfing went to the show by mistake. --- Chris Wallace interviewed David Axelrod yesterday. The usually unflappable Axelrod, Clinton's, now potUS Arpege's campaign chief, appeared to be overly aggressive and anxious to defend the sitting president. There's certainly more to the initial polls that has Axelrod inn this mode already. --- The US Embassy in Kabul, Afghamistan suffered a Taliban assault yesterday. Can't you see potUS Arpege issuing an indignant protest saying the Taliban needs sanctions because the Embassy is 'American soil' so they cannot attack it? Of course, next week he'll send them flowers, candy, and an apology for being upset. --- Online headline: "Obama: U.S. Hasn't 'Given Away Anything' To Iran" -- Unless you consider apologies and unfettered access to potUS Arpege and the UN podium. --- Online story: "ST. LOUIS -- A top National Rifle Association official levied sharp criticism against the national media on Saturday, accusing it of sensationalizing the Trayvon Martin case and ignoring other crimes that happen across the country every day." -- Locally, one only has to look at the L-E to see the numerous black-on-black deaths and assaults that the Reverends Sharpton and Jackson yawned about. What if the Zimmerman's had given their son the name Jorge rather than George. Would there still be this trumped up racist energy in the death of Trayvon Martin? --- Online headline: "Cheney: Obama Has Been 'Unmitigated Disaster'" -- I disagree... I think potUS Arpege has been a fully calculated and fully mitigated disaster. --- Where do the DIM&DUMBERats find/recruit, or for that matter, afford to pay women to get on TV and smile while defending/promoting potUS Arpege's programs that cripple the freedom of motherhood? --- Saw an ad in the L-E where the branch of a (if not 'the') major law firm is closing in North Columbus, and re-consolidating at corporate HQ downtown. Since the 'branch' was set up primarily for home sales closures, what does this say about the local home sales market? ---

Online headline: "Obama's Bold Pledge to US Hispanics * Immigration Reform: President Obama Promises To Tackle Issue In 1st Year Of Second Term" -- "Pledge"? Bribe is more like it. Sounds like potUS O'Blather has stolen his new campaign tactic from a 60's ad campaign, "promise her anything, but give her Arpege". --- Name change...potUS Arpege. --- Online story: "OMAHA, Neb. — Tornadoes were spotted across the Midwest and Plains Saturday as an outbreak of unusually strong weather seized the region, and forecasters sternly warned that "life-threatening" weather could intensify overnight. * In Nebraska, baseball-sized hail shattered windows and ripped siding from houses." -- Omaha, Nebraska....that where Warren B. lives...now Nebraska has been experienced a real BUFFET-ing Rule. --- Online headline: "Obama Weighs In On Drug Legalization 'Debate'" -- Yeah, potUS Arpege probably is sending up trial balloons to see what promise it'll take to keep the druggies voting for him. --- Talk about ways one can delay construction projects, and bring someone from outside the office is sure to be the nunmber 1 way. Of the previous department heads at various city departments that have been replaced, I applaud, but Bill Duck and Danny Cargill will be sorely missed. --- L-E headline: "Leonard Pitts: Jolted by a candid moment of American truth " -- Oooops, my bad. Thought Pitts had finally given up HOPE and wanted his CHANGE back. --- Karl Douglass writes: "Likewise, the School District is committed to a primary goal of educating every student. The school board and district leadership use that perspective to make their decisions." -- That should be the School Administration's primary goal...but is it really? --- From a L-E story: "Police investigate sexual assault at downtown bar * A 27-year-old Midland woman told Columbus police she was sexually assaulted early Friday at a downtown bar. * The woman said she was in the bar area at 1039 Broadway when someone put a hand under her shorts. " -- What are the standards at the L-E for in printing crime information? 1039 Broadway is a business with a name on the door.. I think it's "Bootleggers"...this week. --- GA State Senator Don Balfour, Snellville-R, and chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, definitely one of if not the most powerful committees to be chair of, is under ethics investigation. Though the list of violations is overwhelming. Even if only half of the allegations are true, Balfour seems to need to be removed from office. Fortunately, Balfour is a Republican, and is exposed to Repblican voters and Republicn media exposure. Thank goodness he's not a DIM&DUMBERat serving under a D&D governor, or we wouldn't be hearing about these violations through the media. --- L-E headline: "ARKANSAS FOOTBALL * Razorbacks try to cope in wake of Petrino’s scandalous departure" -- That's only fair... I mean, Petrino arrived at Arkansas following a 'scandalous departure' from the Falcons following a 'scandalous arrival/departure' from the Auburn scene. ---

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Online story: "CARTAGENA, Colombia — A dozen Secret Service agents sent to Colombia to provide security for President Barack Obama at an international summit have been relieved of duty because of allegations of misconduct. * A caller who said he had knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press the misconduct involved prostitutes in Cartagena, site of the Summit of the Americas. A Secret Service spokesman did not dispute that." -- In 'Remember the Titans', Gary, captain of the TC Williams Titans, confronted teammate Julius, All-State Defensive End, about his poor attitude? Julius replied, 'you're the captain; attitude reflects leadership'. Same applies here. --- Online headline: "Obama Calls Kanye A 'Jackass' Again" -- And? Isn't that the official description and symbol of DIM&DUMBERats everywhere? --- Online story: "According to a new Gallup poll released Friday, a majority of Americans support the proposed Buffett Rule, which would require individuals earning $1 million or more per year to pay at least 30 percent of their income in taxes. * The survey found that 60 percent of adults support enacting such a policy, while 37 percent oppose it. * By significant margins, both independents (63 to 33 percent) and Democrats (74 to 24 percent) supported the measure, a key Obama campaign issue. Republicans opposed it, but by a smaller margin of 54 to 43 percent." -- This is what potUS O'Blather's "Class Warfare" Campaign is doing in the short term. Like owning a home, earning a $1,000,000.00 was part of every American's dream. If the government gave $1 Million to every person who supports his Buffet Rule, then at the end of the year sent them a tax bill for $300,000.00, there'd be riots in the street! --- WRBL 3 story: "A Columbus father of two is dead tonight after being shot in his car at a stop sign." -- Where is the indignation of the Reverends Sharpton and Jackson? Where 's the indignation of the 'hoodie marchers' ? I guess random killing is OK in the black community as long as every one involved is black. How sad!!! --- Talk about biting oneself on one's rear... potUS O'Blather's secretary is paying a higher rate of taxes than potUS O'Blather. --- The DIM&DUMBERat spinmeisters are out proclaiming that Hillary Rosen's comments will not effect the "war on women" the D&D's are waging on Republicans. If Fox was the only network talking about it, there could be some credibility, BUT this is making news on all the networks. Women may have different political opinions, but they are women first, and the DIM&DUMBERats have stepped in deep dodo. --- From the 'suspicions confirmed' department: "Bristol Palin found out over a text from her friend that the father of her son and former fiancé, Levi Johnston, was expecting another child out of wedlock with a new girlfriend, she didn't believe it. Then she felt sadness, anger and disgust. She tells InTouch: “I think it’s a little bit of everything, and a lot of confusion. I’m upset about it.” She thinks Levi should step up to the plate with his first child, before throwing another one in the mix." -- No wonder Levi and Mrs. Palin didn't get along...this just confirms Levi has been a DIM&DUMBERat all along. --- Bobby Petino's house is already up for sale. Wonder if the amenities include a pig sty out back? --- Apologies that begin or end with "I'm sorry if I offended anyone" are not apologies; they are admissions that you've caught hell about something inappropriately said or done that the vast public has become aware of. Hillary Rosen is not apologetic about what she said; she believes herself. She's sorry the world is responding en masse, and she has no defense, or anywhere to hide, and her boss is PO'd at her. --- Either a liberal's, or worse, a quasi-conservative's L-E "soundoff": "If prisoners are forced to work, it can be called slave labor. But if they have a choice and decide to work, I commend them for not sitting around idle." -- If you do the crime, then you'll do the time paying back society... that's the way it's suppose to be! Personally, none shoul;d get paid a single dime, but I do understand that structure, incentive, and a reward system are of benefit to the prison system staff. That's how it works in the non-prison work system as well. --- L-E headline: "Newark mayor saves neighbor from fire " -- Rumor has it that this mayor is going to be asked to resign from the DIM&DUMBERat Party. The D&D's don't want him to start other D&D mayors that they can actually help the public by personally doing something for them rather than letting it happen and blaming it the fact that he couldn't tax it. --- L-E headline/story: "Affidavit: Zimmerman didn’t use racial slur * Associated Press * When a recording was released of a 911 call George Zimmerman made to police shortly before fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, some who heard it zeroed in on three words to suggest he had uttered a racial slur. * An affidavit released by the prosecutor who has charged Zimmerman with second-degree murder says he did not use a slur, however. The document filed Thursday says the phrase Zimmerman uttered was “Those f-----g punks.” It also said Zimmerman “profiled” Martin, but did not elaborate. Some cited the alleged slur as potential evidence for the U.S. Justice Department, which could still bring a hate-crime charge against Zimmerman. And it fed growing outrage over the police department’s initial decision not to arrest Zimmerman. * Martin was black. Zimmerman’s father is white and his mother is Hispanic." -- Again, why is the media so intent in making Trayvon Martin's death a black/white racial issue? When the media writes of potUS O'Blather, does it end the story with what race his parents were? Same as for Tiger Woods and many, many more standouts of mixed parentage. --- L-E headline: "After Zimmerman arrest, activists look to gun laws" -- It's never 'over' for liberals... unfortunately, they never look at themselves and try to fix 'the man in the mirror'. --- Why is potUS O'Blather so interested in supporting Brazil's oil industry and the jobs it creates there so it can send more oil to the US? Wouldn't Americans be better off if potUS O'Blather supported the oil industry here and it's ability to create jobs here in America? --- L-E headline: "Director of 10-year homeless plan says education is the key " -- And just whom do we put in charge of education? Surely, the education system that has already failed them shouldn't be re-engaged... Our education system is still failing students as attested by the graduation rates and need for remedial studies at colleges. Do we put social services in charge of educating the homeless? Social service organizations have their own problems just serving the homeless's problem of getting through the day..or more accurately, the night. Unfortunately, it really boils down to people who need help learning to help themselves, but if they are successful, social service jobs would end, and those workers would be out of jobs and possibly the next wave of homeless. It's probably, at best, a never ending circle of frustration. Unfortunately, the real cure for such is faith based, and our government wants to separate God from both government and education which is sorta self-defeating. It's also a vicious never ending tax burden. ---

WRBL 3 headline: "New study reveals teens still texting while driving" -- DOH! Like the average teen is going to listen to either their parents or Public Service Announcements? --- Misusing Warren Buffers name is not enough for potUS O' Blather; now he's trying to coattail Ronald Reagan to pass the "O'Blather Tax On The Successful". The man has no values, no scruples, and no concern for the truth. --- About the only alternative fuel that potUS O' Blather has been successful with is running his campaigns on "hot air'. --- WindCreek Casino has a new slogan.... "What do you have to lose?" Other than life savings, next week's groceries, your mortgage payment? --- Barbara Bush, possibly the finest First Lady ever, certainly, the most down to earth one, was interviewed by Fox News about the comments made by Hillary Rosen denigrating women who stay home to raise their children, dealt the most appropriate response anyone could have made to deflate the ego of this DNC spokesperson. When asked about, Mrs Bush started by saying "Hillary what's-her-name " without missing a beat. Well done! --- You know, most of the reports on Trayvon Martin indicated he was 'moving away', and earlier reports did not clarify the entry wound of the death shot. Today, it was revealed for the first time, at least to me, that the shot hit Martin in the chest. Combined with Zimmerman's injuries, this gives additional credence that the incidence was a confrontation. --- An atheist group is suing Camp Pendleton to remove two hand made crosses erected by Marines on the base so they have a remote area to reflect, and memorialize their fellow Marines who died in action. I think the USMC should post the names and addresses of all the atheists and their lawyers on a very visible Camp Pendleton bulletin board, (maybe on one at a rifle range) so the Marines can interact with them directly. --- The latest from barackobama.com: "One quick question now that we've got our opponent. Are you fired up?" -- I can honestly say I am. As Pogo might respond to potUS O'Blather, "We have met the enemy, and it is us." --- You know.. I'm glad, no, happy that I am required to show my photo ID to get my voting ballot. I'm also happy to show my photo ID when I buy guns and/or ammo.. --- L-E crime story: "Thief takes $2K TV from Cusseta Road apartment" -- 2000 Cusseta Rd is a rent subsidized apartment complex of the Columbus Housing Authority. How does the Columbus Housing Authority overlook renting a subsidized apartment when the apartment dweller can afford a $2,000.00 TV set (and probably a nice DVD system and cable + service). Makes you wonder if there has been a crime of fraud as well. --- L-E headline: "Shoeless store patron arrested after cursing, refusing to leave" -- Must not have read the Store Store sign.... "No Socks, No Service". --- L-E headline: "Columbus police: J.R. Allen Parkway wreck was a suicide attempt" -- DOH! Every rush hour trip on the J R Allen Parkway, especially on any of the entry/exit ramps is a suicidal situation. --- L-E "soundoff": "Bobby Petrino may no longer be a Razorback, but he will always be a pig. " -- Well said! --- I'm really surprised that John Edward's lawyers haven't asked for a change of venue. It would be more feasible to get a favorable jury pool for his political crimes in Chicago than North Carolina. --- L-E headline/story: "Baboons can read? Well, research calls it pre-reading * Non-human primates might be smarter than scientists thought * WASHINGTON — Dan the baboon sits in front of a computer screen. The letters BRRU pop up. With a quick and almost dismissive tap, the monkey signals it’s not a word. Correct. Next comes, ITCS. Again, not a word. Finally KITE comes up. * He pauses and hits a green oval to show it’s a word. In the space of just a few seconds, Dan has demonstrated a mastery of what some experts say is a form of pre-reading and walks away rewarded with a treat of dried wheat." -- "smarter than scientists thought"? Of course baboons are smarter than scientists thought! They are probably even smarter than most of the scientists in one way; they have common sense to know that if you hit one button and get no treats, then hit the other one and do get a treat. --- The White House is really scrambling to cover Hillary Rosen's attack on women and motherhood. Both potUS O'Blather and the First Lady are making apologies, as Ann Romney and Barbara Bush has reversed the tide over which party is in fact anti-woman. --- Grimmer than only 2-out-of-3 freshmen graduate in 4 years, is that many of the 2 that do graduate and go to college need remedial courses. Four year colleges should not offer remedial classes; the students, athletes included, should be already prepared to handle the course work level.

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Online story: "Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen stirred controversy Wednesday evening when she criticized Ann Romney for having "never worked a day in her life." * "Guess what?" Rosen said. "His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She's never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing." -- Ann Romney in defense of motherhood responded: "I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys," she wrote. "Believe me, it was hard work." -- The DIM&DUMBERats started destroying 'the family' in the 1960's with LBJ's "Great Society" program paying women for illegitimate children, and in the 70's raised taxes so much nearly all families need two incomes (one for day-to-day expenses, and one to pay the taxes). DIM&DUMBERats have no respect for women in respect to their worth as mothers. --- I sympathize with Trayvon Martin's mom over her loss of a child. I really do. I would whether by an unavoidable traffic accident, or drive by shooting, or unstoppable medical problem, and even the circumstances of George Zimmerman's side of the story, BUT I do not sympathize with her story of her son's innocence. She had sent her son away from her home to his father because he was out of control in her home. --- WRBL 3 headline: "New DUI task force could help prevent drunk driving tragedies " -- This is almost a "headlie". A DUI task force may help curtail drunk drivers, but preventing such is beyond the law. Until an over-imbibing person actually gets behind the wheel and takes off, the 'task force' cannot act, therefore, cannot prevent such. I do hope, no, pray, the 'task force' will make a difference. --- Just thinking about the college entry dilemma caused by increased applicants, and wonder why any college offers remedial classes. Entrants should be prepared to do college level work when they get there. --- Taking the above thought, that universities and colleges are experiencing record enrollments even though 1-in-3 students don't graduate from high schools messes with my mind as to the actually quality of the education the other 2-of-3 get that makes remedial college course so prolific... --- Following up on a crime story last week in the L-E, has anyone found out what a "low haircut" is? --- Bobby Petrino ... what can you say.. Maybe he is the beginning of the Joe Paterno effect...holding coaches responsible for their bad behavior. --- I've about decided that potUS O'Blather wears a suit made for "Men in Black", and it's the only one he has. --- What potUS O'Blather is not telling you about the "Buffet Rule": Buffet will pay more than his fair share of taxes when his estate is ravaged by the government. --- When potUS O'Blather was delivering his "Buffet Rule" speech yesterday, he pointed to the supporters standing behind him. I guarantee not one of those people was anything but a government/DIM&DUMBERat flunkie. Those were not affluent independent business people. --- Chevron is building the largest natural gas power plant in the world...... in Australia. Chalk up another loss of taxes and jobs to the DIM&DUMBERats. --- On Easter, 45 Nigerian Christians were massacred by Muslim. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Ambassador Johnnie Carson, stated that “religion is not driving extremist violence” in these attacks. OK, Mr Carson, would you put on your Carnac the Magnificent turban and tell us the answer that's in Ed McMahan's mayonnaise jar! --- L-E story: "CORCORAN, Calif. — A prison panel denied parole Wednesday to mass murderer Charles Manson" -- Huh? Do I detect a sliver of hope that there is still respect for life, decency, and the law in California? Must have slipped by Nancy Pelosi.. --- The Chattahoochee Chatter is stirring up conflict between bicycling entities. Whether it's the CCC or the CVA SORBA, I wish one or both of these groups would emphasize the laws of GA concerning bicycling. Bicycles are 'vehicles' as are cars, and have basically the same regulations for using them (other than those under 16 can ride solo, and those 12 and younger can ride on sidewalks). Maintaing lanes, using hand signals, and obeying traffic signs are part of the right to ride that the majority of bicyclers seem oblivious to being responsible for their own safety. --- L-E story: "The Armed Forces Reserve Center, a $21 million facility to consolidate reserve units under one roof, officially opens Saturday at Fort Benning. * As part of the 81st Regional Support Command, the 139,755-square-foot building is the new home for 13 reserve units and 463 military and civilian support personnel, said Gail E. Anderson, a spokesman for the public affairs office at Fort Jackson, S.C." -- Why is it that the federal government can build a high tech building for so much less per sq ft than the MCSD can build a high school or business office? --- L-E headline/story: "Jury acquits man who says he was selling pot during alleged robbery * A jury found a 20-year-old man not guilty of armed robbery Wednesday after he testified he went to Columbus' Liberty Garden Townhomes in 2010 to sell marijuana to customers who then tried to rob him, rather than the other way around." -- DOH!!! Is it our DA's office or the jury panel (or both) that makes hard working Columbusites lose confidence in the justice system?
